We work very hard and there are many ups and downs, we will remember this day for a long time.. Bryan holding the BICC prov winner. - sire is a mealy cock bred from a son Dickie boy and the mealy pied hen, Dam is a blue hen bred from a g daughter of the mealy pied hen, Winners are throughout this birds pedigree, the sister to the dam won Bordeaux for us and 8th national, the other sister has won 6 x 1sts and 4 x 1st section fed.A class van reet going back 13 years in the breeding books. we bought the g g dam in 2000 and her bloodlines are running through many winners here. We are delighted with our 1st Prov BICC Guernsey , she is bred down from our old mealy pied Van reet lines , also Dickie boy is the G /G sire. The dam of this hen flew Tarbes this year for us and the sister to the dam won Bordeaux for us. We would like to thank all the friends that have called and messaged us over the weekend, thank you all. Anthony & Bryan BBC - Fougeres liberated at 8am,

Darkness Van reet ready for the race. we will send 6 to the BBC - Fougeres race - 264 miles. 20 to the BICC - Guernsey - 168 miles 15 to the WSRNFC - Carentan - 202 miles. The young birds are starting to come in to serious form, they have won 1,2,3 club for the last 2 weeks with 332 and 262 birds competing. We hope to keep these going now for the big races.
we have Chale this week and then over the channel. things are starting to get interesting ant We have been extremely busy with the young birds and are putting every spare minute in to these birds, We have had 4 races and are starting to see the fruits of our labour.
We are hoping to send to the BBC, NFC and BICC in 2012 young bird races. the birds are being loaded ready for these races. best of luck anthony williams Sorry for the absence but we have been very very busy with young bird training.
Update so far Old birds - we have 3 old bird races left being , Salisbury, Saints and Bordeaux, We are not sending to Saints as this race has been added at a very late stage and we have not sent our NFC form off. The federation will self implode if they carry on changing the race programme so late in the day, We have 5 for Bordeaux and hope for a good show. Young birds - these are coming well. the naturals are going south and are at porthcawl and the darkness are at penderyn mountain , naturals have had 15 tosses, Darkness have had 12 tosses. We are very pleased with their progress and the federation has the first race for the 28th of July but yet again they have changed things by splitting the federation in to 2 sections and 2 races. This could be the start of the split that is due in the federation, why oh why are they splitting again, I remember 2 years ago when they did this and a disaster was had by the east race. Our plans - We might not send now until the 3rd race where all the federation will go together , in 2013 we are thinking of not sending to the federation after the first 2 races, we will plan out a campaign for the classics, We are sending 4 today to Salisbury , these are birds that have been injured throughout the year, we do not expect great things from them but who knows? Best of luck to all.. ant We raced from Le Man yesterday and I have to congratulate the federation and conveyor for a very good race. The birds had high winds to battle but returned in very good condition. We only sent 3 and got them all .
We are sending 2 to Tarbes next week 617 miles to us, a tough test for them but we have every faith in the 2 that are going. |
